Chris + Robbie | Nashville Wedding Photographer

Robbie had contacted me, and unfortunately, I was out of budget. We chatted via phone a few times, but ultimately it was not in her budget. After talking to her I called her back and told her I just felt like I was supposed to be at her wedding.  We created a custom package to meet her needs.  There would be no engagement session – that time would be used for wedding day, and we would keep it super simple.

Y’all I cannot tell you how much I love Robbie. I want to be her friend. Actually, I told her and her sisters we have to all be friends. And they agreed!

Robbie had a very difficult time the week of her wedding due to family emergencies. I had planned to meet her in person for the first time at the rehearsal, but due to her needing to be with her family, I would not meet her until I showed up to photograph her getting in her dress.  My team and I arrived at the ever-amazing Hutton Hotel in Nashville (Rachael is a rock star and you should totally tell her we said it) where we found the girls getting ready and drinking mimosas. I walked in, and they were all so stunning. Everyone was making sure Robbie was taken care of and only had to worry about getting ready. I make it to Robbie and hug her so tight. At this point she is already my new BFF and just does not know it yet. She then tells me she has a gift for me. You see, just weeks before her wedding, I made an emergency trip home to be with family when my youngest brother passed away unexpectedly. The gift – a maple tree. A memorial tree for my brother. I had to turn my head and gather my composure because I nearly lost it. This sweet, thoughtful woman was planning a wedding within months and dealing with her own family hardships, and she gave me a gift so special. This should tell you just how incredible of a person she is and how special her day would be.

Whew, I am crying again so let’s talk about her stunning blush wedding dress and the fact that Chris wore a white suit. Umm yes I was in heaven! The ceremony had no fluff. Just a stunning church, the ones they love, and their vows. I really believe these types of weddings are my favorite – the ones that focus on the marriage and everything else is icing on the cake.

I seriously have so much I want to say, and I can’t gather all my thoughts into a few small paragraphs, so I want the photos to speak for themselves. From Chris and Robbie meeting outside the church for the first time so he could walk with her down the aisle, to all the beautiful details and the love that filled the room. I believe all of that is evident in the images. Images that I am so so thankful I got to capture that led me to meeting incredible human beings who make this world a better place.
